John is an active private equity investor, senior advisor and board director with over 30 years industry experience. After a highly successful 25 year career in the City of London spanning senior roles on both the sell and the buy side at major investment banking and asset management firms.
He has worked as a top-rated (Extel) global strategist and economist and head of research, and ultimately a Chief Investment Officer with responsibility for over £23bn in assets for one of the largest asset management firms in the UK.
John has spent the past 6 years or so years investing privately in and advising a range of early stage businesses.
Chief Executive Officer
George is a top level executive with 28 years’ experience in financial services from sales through to board level, laterally concentrating on regulatory issues and reengineering of businesses.
His career progression has taken him through all levels in Zurich Financial Services to the reengineering of Sesame Bankhall Group which was the largest advisory business in the UK however he also set up Intrinsic Financial Services, where he built operations from scratch. In recent years he has become known as an industry expert working with regulatory and industry bodies on the future of financial services including Retail Distribution Review RDR. He has an industry wide reputation as a change delivery expert who delivers change effectively.
Director and Chief Commercial Officer
NED with HCL for 14 years and now Executive Director, 30 years in the wealth and insurance Industry in senior leadership roles, 18 with HSBC. Recently Global Head of Wealth, setting product and distribution strategy globally, CEO Insurance Offshore Europe running HNW portfolios for International clients, SVP Wealth Strategy and Sales USA redefined and built a new advisory and wealth fee based proposition for affluent clients.
Advisory and IFA experience, specialising in retirement, distribution and product strategy.
Qualified and accomplished Investment Director with broad experience that includes working with a range of top tier banks (Investment bank, Central bank and private banking), fund management companies, hedge funds and regulators. Recently completed Institute of Director Diploma and Certificate examinations.
Professional track record includes collaborating with Fischer Black and Bob Litterman on the Black-Litterman Asset Allocation and Risk Management Model at Goldman Sachs, Pioneering Asset/Liability Management at Salomon Brothers, and managing $16bn Central Bank reserves at SBP. Management experience includes Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, Director at Salomon Brother, Head of Client Solutions at RBS/Coutts and Chief Investment Officer at Capita Financial Group.
Andrew has 29 years’ experience in investment management and distribution. He specialises in the construction and delivery of investment solutions for professional clients. Previously a Business Partner and Head of UK Retail for Sarasin & Partners, London. Also Head of Strategic Distribution and Investment Solutions for Sarasin & Partners.
Andrew spent 11 years at Morley Fund Management principally engaged in distribution management roles sitting on the Retail Executive Committee, where he established Morley’s UK Wholesale business and managed the firm’s largest strategic client relationships including Norwich Union Life. He also spent his early years in the industry as an Investment Specialist at Scottish Equitable and previously various distribution roles at Legal & General Investment Management.
Brian has over 40 years fund accounting and transfer agency experience. Previously head of Client Relationship Management and Transfer agency at Capita Financial, Brian has also developed and been responsible for Schroder Unit Trust business as their Operations Director.
Brian is responsible for the operational aspects of Host Capital Limited, and all third party relationships with suppliers to the Funds. He has over 40 years’ experience in financial services with a career spanning Canada Life, SG Warburg/Mercury Asset Management, Schroder Investment Management and Banque Generale du Luxembourg . He is a Member of the Institute of Directors and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Non Executive Director
Prior to forming TRI Investments Limited in 2004 (now called Host Capital Limited), Christopher spent 22 years in the financial services business.
The first 10 years was spent working for two national Independent Financial Advisors (IFA's) specialising in advising clients on investment products as well as corporate pension schemes.
Following that Christopher worked for two global investment management companies focusing on developing new investment products and services for the retail and institutional markets. Today Christopher is Managing Director and Head of Product Development at Host Capital. He is an Associate Member of the Personal Finance Society.
